AI text watermark
Carried by the wording pattern
- Created while the model selects the next tokens.
- Can survive ordinary copy and paste because the words carry the pattern.
- Usually needs the matching detection method and enough text to assess.

Why and for how long: consent is the lawful basis for one requested launch email. The record is deleted after that purpose ends and no later than 24 months after signup, unless you withdraw sooner.
Who processes it: this pre-launch page is operated by the company identified in the Contact info section below. Cloudflare provides hosting, database storage and CAPTCHA abuse protection, and may process technical request and browser data under its terms.

A careful review can reveal the subtle pattern carried across a passage, even when every sentence appears natural.
A close review can reveal the quiet pattern carried through a passage, even when every sentence reads naturally.

Built for real publishing work
StripWatermark.com is for authors, editors and publishers who want to check text before publication, remove supported AI watermark patterns and keep genuine work from being misclassified.
The plain-English version
An AI text watermark is a statistical pattern woven into the words an AI model chooses. The model writes one token at a time—a token may be a word, part of a word or punctuation—and a watermarking system gently favours some valid choices over others. Across a long enough passage, those small choices can form a pattern that a compatible detector can measure.

Document metadata
Not every piece of AI-generated text contains a watermark. A general “AI detector” that guesses from writing style is also different from a detector built for one specific watermark. See a worked explanation from Google DeepMind.
The plan
Paste the text you want to inspect.
Locate the token choices carrying a supported pattern.
Remove the pattern and compare the result.
Why it matters
Hidden statistical patterns can travel with otherwise useful published copy. That creates practical risks for publishers, teams and individual authors.
A statistical result can be interpreted as a verdict on authorship, placing genuine writers and heavily edited work under suspicion.
When platforms automate content classification, a detectable watermark can become another reason to review, limit or de-prioritise published copy.
Writers, editors and publishers may have to explain legitimate drafting and revision work because of a pattern they cannot see.
Text moves between drafts, documents and websites. A hidden pattern can travel with it long after the circumstances in which it was added are forgotten.

Straight answers
Rewriting can change the token pattern that carries a text watermark. StripWatermark will focus that process on supported patterns, then show the before-and-after result instead of replacing the whole passage without explanation.
The product is being designed to retain quotations, names, figures, required terminology and the overall point while making the wording changes needed to clear a supported pattern.
A humanizer or paraphraser usually rewrites broadly to change style. StripWatermark is focused on supported statistical watermark patterns: it checks for the pattern, targets the carrying token choices and shows what changed.
